On Feb. 24, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), a non-profit organization that represents the music recording industry worldwide, announced the Global Artist Chart and Global Album Charts for 2022. South Korean boy band Stray Kids, formed by JYP Entertainment, ranked No. 7 on the Global Artist Chart. Their latest album, "MAXIDENT," ranked No. 6, while "ODDINARY" ranked No. 14 on the Global Album Chart. With such worldwide success, one might question whether the group should still be considered "stray."

Stray Kids burst onto the music scene in 2017. They became popular after appearing on a reality show with the same name. The show follows the members as they train and prepare for their debut and includes challenges, competitions, and performances.

The show was well-received by fans and helped to introduce the group to a wider audience. It allowed fans to get to know the members on a more personal level, as they showcased their individual talents and personalities. The show also helped to highlight the hard work and dedication that goes into becoming a K-pop idol. It provided a behind-the-scenes look at the intense training and preparation that the members underwent, which helped to build respect and admiration from fans.

He has praised their musical abilities and work ethic and expressed his belief that they have the potential to become one of the top K-pop groups in the industry. JYP Entertainment has also granted Stray Kids significant creative control over their music and performances, enabling them to write and produce their own songs and choreography.
