Nexon, Netmarble Capitalize on Popularity of 'captain Marvel'

Nexon and Netmarble have utilized characters of 'Captain Marvel,' an action-packed Marvel film released here Wednesday, to update the content of their games in a bid to attract more players.

Nexon, the nation's leading game company, said Thursday that it updated its strategic card battle mobile game, based on 'Marvel Battle Lines,' adding four new character cards ― Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, Ronan and Goose.

The firm said each of the new characters has unique abilities. For example, the Captain Marvel character is capable of increasing her own attack ability and of friendly forces nearby.

The Nick Fury character can elevate the attack ability of friendly forces far away.

The game firm is also carrying out an event offering gifts to gamers who achieve victory using the Captain Marvel character The event will run until March 28.

Netmarble has also added new character designs from the 'Captain Marvel' film in the superhero action mobile role-playing game (RPG), 'Marvel Future Fight.'

Several characters from the film have been playable since Feb.

21 in the game, including Nick Fury, Minn-Erva and Korath.
