Lte-backed Ipad Mini Hits Korea

Korea's two biggest mobile carriers -- SK Telecom Co. and KT Corp. -- said Friday that they started selling Apple Inc.'s iPad mini, which runs on the fourth-generation long-term evolution (LTE) network.

The release comes roughly one month after the U.S. smartphone maker unveiled the more compact and lighter version of its iOS6-based tablet computer, with plans to include South Korea as one of the first markets to roll out the device.
