Bladder Cancer Diagnosable With Urine Odor

The research and development team from Liverpool and West England University discovered that a heated urine sample releases certain chemical substances which can be analyzed to diagnose urine cancer.

Dr. Norman Radcliffe of the biosensor technology development said, “The device titled ‘Odoreader’ can systematically analyze and present the chemical substances within the urine on a computer screen for the doctor to diagnose.”

It takes approximately 30 minutes for the analyses to complete.
