21 Konkuk University Students Show Unusual Pneumonia Symptoms

A number of Konkuk University students have been sent to an isolation ward after showing symptoms of pneumonia, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Thursday.

According to the CDC, Konkuk University Medical Center reported on Tuesday to the center that students from the College of Animal Bioscience and Technology have shown mysterious symptoms of pneumonia since Oct.19.

From Oct. 19-28, 21 patients, including researchers working toward doctorates and master's degrees, who were using the college building showed pneumonia symptoms such as high fever and coughing, the CDC said.

The CDC closed the building and began an epidemiologic investigation.
